It is not easy to Marshawn Lynch reputation

Running back Seattle Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch, in a rare media interview, said Monday that most people tell he grew up, he is equal to zero. And now he use motivation to help poor children in his hometown of Oakland through his "family first" basis. "I think the most important thing is," Lynch told the "shop" ESPN in Seattle in 710. "Take a different light into their lives, let them know that they do have a chance.
"Most people tell me to grow, I either dead, or in prison in the 18 years old. My friends don't let it to 18. I have a house is now in prison because they are 16. This is I want to change my neighbors. I feel that if I tried to help them can affect a child's life, this is a victory for me." Reputation, however, is still not easy (Merrill Lynch), the score to win 6 - yard landing beat Denver Broncos 26-20 in overtime Sunday.
"In that position, I think I have never been to famous so someone want to spy on me, follow my every move," Lynch said. "This is not something I like. Love and support, I appreciate that. But it may be a bit out of control with some others. In the end of the day, we take a bath, shave off the beard like the others. This is my point of view." Though he was ill fame, Lynch in the football field is right at home, he said he never nervous.

Aries people in the team, I believe in Stanton to win

Before the arrival of the Arizona Cardinals at MetLife stadium against New York Giants, Stanton knows he may have the opportunity to where Carson Palmer. In about two hours before kick-off, Sunday with Stanton day over the past three seasons. When palmer, nerve injury in the first weeks the San Diego Chargers, trying to make. He came to Stanton and broke the news, his right shoulder didn't respond. About 30 minutes later, the Cardinals manager Bruce Arians to Stanton said, "hey, baby, you." "I thought, well," said Stanton. In this way, Stanton first game since the start of December 19, 2010. He allowed the father to Arizona on Sunday, 25 to 14 victory over the New York giants throw in 14-of-29 passing 167 yards. He didn't put a touchdown, but he also didn't sell them to intercept.
"I look at these figures, I was shocked, because he was really good, Numbers don't justice to him," said Aries. Under the pressure of ", he has may throw the ball, put some bags, I hope he can give the ball to throw away, so he wants to stay healthy." Stanton admits he is anxiety leads to the possibility of Sunday's game because he was playing. Palmer and limited in all the three days of practice, Stanton last week with the first team, getting valuable missed as a backup on his behalf. But Aries never wavered Stanton, who since 2012 are in Aries system in Indianapolis. Typical Aries fashion, Arizona won the play, he chose the beginning of the offensive. Aries doesn't change the game in the opening of deep, Michael Floyd 15 to 19 - yard pass - play script in the plane he gave Stanton and palmer is heading to New York." When you spend as much time with him on the pitch just looked at him and know his craft, (see) him work very hard," said Aries. "He is very accurate. He knew where the ball. He's a bit too fast in the fourth quarter work off in some post, do you know his throw in person.
The attack. "he knows he knows why we do what we do, so it is easy for him sometimes even than Carson." Palmer thought his right shoulder will be strong enough to play on Sunday, but nervous never woke up, he said, landing on Monday night is the result of a mistake. Aries people said, he saw a lot of improvement in palmer's shoulders more overnight on Saturday and Sunday. He wants palmer, just like last year, "the cloak" field. "This is the inevitable thing you just need to wait for, hope it wakes up," says Palmer. "No," 48 hours it needs, it needs 6 days, need 12 days. "You just don't know." Before the game starts, Stanton, give a person send text messages that he is playing: his wife. He may need to text her again if palmer cannot go next Sunday. However, the next time he also won't have a shock or relief. "I think you are in this league you must start to bet on yourself and you worry about things you have control," Stanton said."I always say, but until you start to believe, you won't be any good."

Some players said they support their team before. Not New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker. ecker said in an interview with ESPN New York on Monday 98.7 FM "Michael Kay Show", he was opposed to any "Denver broncos, but I don't like the team no longer now, his Jets
"I support the other teams," said dirk. "Of course, you have to have a little sting." The broncos signed Emanuel sanders replace Dekker. Sanders can earn up to $18 million over the next three seasons, if he achieved all of his motivation. Skrine wear protection experience

The bane of Cleveland browns Buster Skrine will wear in the starting line-up and protect his thumb injury in Pittsburgh on Sunday. Skrine actor does not limit, he said. "I can do everything," he said. Skrine described his injury was "thumb injury," said and defensive lineman asked coach Mike Pettine when asked why his wrist surgery. Desmond Bryant works in practice, than on Wednesday but Skrine in practice.
Skrine will last three preseason games despite missing after thumb injury in practice. It says something about the way he performed in practice, and rookie choosing the way of Justin Gilbert struggled in the first round. "It feels good, the coach began to believe I started," said Skrine. "I just want to use a year I have been here, the man is in competition with me. Steelers save practice team of surprise

Pittsburgh Steelers not released any major surprises when they released 53-man list on Saturday. They are practice team with 10 people. Before they sign players on Sunday is the United States army rangers Alejandro Villa Newark and C. J. Goodwin, to join the team after advice from 6 months ago Steelers great Mel Blount. Vera Newark, an incredible story, released on last Wednesday after the Steelers Philadelphia eagles. Aston villa after Newark is listed as offensive, Steelers a lineman is trying to make the eagle the defensive end. He is an interesting prospects, rather than simply because vera Newark, 25, who retired from the army to the first three experience serving in Afghanistan, the NFL so he can do. Vera Newark play multiple positions in the military and is very versatile and sports, he mainly in line wide receiver last season, at west point, he led the team won.
Steelers will obviously try to develop villa Newark attack as a striker, he will work with Mike Munchak daily, one of the best offensive line coach in the NFL, such as Villa Newark Goodwin is cut in the players early last week when the team from 90 to 75, to cut their list. Goodwin is original, played only two years of college football and even at our level. But he is incredibly almost 50 inches of vertical motion, and the Steelers like Goodwin is enough to bring him to training camp, he took part in the organization team activities in June, plus. Hall of fame, blunt recommended Goodwin Steelers, because of his athletic ability and psychological make-up. Goodwin, went to a private high school in West Virginia, the son of blunt for disadvantaged children in the home also blunt run.

49ers Mike Iupati is an easy problem to solve

This is one of after some time, countless hits in a relatively limited time center on Sunday when San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick approached his two professional bowl leave, Mike Iupati. "Come on, mike, Kaepernick implored." Do a better job. "Iupati let loose don't laugh, he tells the story of the reporters on Monday in 49ers facilities. Because it is really, Iupati agreed Kaepernick. And digital agreed to everyone. The focus is of the professional football to Iupati - 2.4, and after he was accused of allowing a bag and the fight against Kaepernick San Diego Chargers. Defense Corey Liuget can also easily the offensive line 49ers, especially Iupati. 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh asked, especially the offensive line work can give Kaepernick more time, as a result, better take care of him and laid siege to Liuget & Co.
"Just continue to be representative, representative, we will see," Harbaugh said. "In the preseason game, this will be a short week, this will be difficult to do. But we will attack. "Iupati, it is worth noting that also left fibula fracture, he suffered the NFC championship. But he would not blame problems on Sunday a sore leg. So how could he solve it?" You see a movie," said Iupati.  "Sometimes you lose some, you win. It’s main technical. But I don't worry. It is easy to repair. "This is preseason, but this is football. You will compete to others so you, you don't want to have happen. Especially a bag or QB. But you know, this is a simple repair. This is what it is."

Steelers’ Brett Keisel list as a starter

Ink just dry Brett Keisel signed a two year contract, Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday when he was on top of the arch depth map in the defensive end. Signed Keisel result in some changes on the depth chart, coach mike tomlin said, his lack of attention in the preseason. Keisel went back to his position has started since 2006 and Stephen Tuitt, Nick Williams and Ethan Hemer listed behind him. Mr Cameron Thomas Heywood starter is left to the defensive end CAM, Brian Arnfelt and Josh Mauro listed behind them. Keisel contract before work, and Heyward was in the right defense starter end and Thomas in the back of the defensive end and starter Tuitt Thomas.
Philadelphia Steelers Keisel visit on Wednesday afternoon, but he is not expected for half past seven in the evening the Steelers. It’s On Thursday night against the Eagles. What is clear is that steelers did not back to "Da beard" play a limited and mentor their young striker. Heywood has been practicing in the defensive end but he should be good to go back to last season, he became a starting position. Fourth grade veterans say there is not much difference between left and right the defensive end. Thomas seemed to lose the most Keisel back. He is now a relegation al woods swing defense/nose to solve. However, Thomas also provides in the nose to solve injury insurance, may put Steve McLendon there if the latter struggle this season.

Chris Conte opponents will list

Chicago Bears safety Chris Conti body unable to perform list on Sunday, and revealed that he listed in preparation for their fight for a club of the position of the two open points. Conte practice off-season shoulder surgery for the first time since Sunday. "It feels good to play football," said Conte." I have a list. There are many things I want to do, and a lot of people want to prove that I was wrong. I have a lot of goals, a lot of things, I'm looking forward to. But I’m once a day." Conte repetition of the first, second and third team defense, he took most of the No. 2 s to come. Conte missed the club's entire offseason training program also let his organization after shoulder surgery and minicamps team activities. During that time and through the first 11 practices of training camp, players such as Danny McCray, rookie Brock Vereen, Adrian Wilson and Ryan Mundy may have leapfrogged Conte on the depth chart. But with the staff maintaining the position remains a wide open competition, Conte believes he’s returned in time to make a real push for a starting job. “I’m gonna do everything I can to get back on the field and that’s all I know,” Conte said. All he knew throughout the offseason, however, was intense criticism. Conte seemed to bear the brunt of the blame for the demise in 2013 of Chicago’s defense, which experienced a sharp decline from the previous season due to a combination of injuries and substandard play. Conte ranked third on the defense with 95 tackles, and tied for second with three interceptions. However, he experienced well-documented issues on the field, including playing the wrong coverage on a late fourth quarter Randall Cobb touchdown in the Bears’ Week 17 loss to the Green Bay Packers that kept the team out of the postseason. "We watched him at a high level. We see him do good things," said coach Marc Trestman of Bears. "He's must be persistent. He must know to queue, we defended do. Of course, sports ability back-end compete with anyone. "Against the green bay, Conte is lower than the average level of the 2013 election, leading to "a lot of soul searching" in the offseason, he says, "a lot of time on their body and mind. That is a good time to let me get a better in many different fields. Wish I were a better man, a better football player. I learned to let people close to me, I care about, always supported me know is the only person who is really important. I don't even consider last season. I'm thinking of this year. I don't even know what happened last season."

"Brain" Roethlisberger stay focused

Roethlisberger

Ben Roethlisberger reiterated that he said at the beginning of training camp near the end of his contract is not a problem, the quarterback of the focus is to help the Pittsburgh Steelers to return to the playoffs after 8-8 consecutive season. "This is out of my mind, because now in football," said Roethlisberger Wednesday morning on ESPN's "mike and mike". "This is a play, so it is not as difficult as people might think. I just want to go out to give everything I have and all of my fans and my team, is the way it is." Roethlisberger two years for eight years, he signed a $102 million deal in 2008, this is when the Steelers traditionally they starting quarterback signed a new agreement.
Steelers plan to sign Roethlisberger of long-term contract after this season, when they will have enough room under the salary cap to pay franchise around the quarterback and maintain a competitive team. Roethlisberger to end his 11 training camp when the Steelers played preseason opener on Saturday night, he and the New York Giants quarterback Eli manning said, marvel at the fast time is over. Manning is a scholar. Steelers NFL draft and fritz 11 2004.The 33-year-old Roethlisberger in March, has been like a coach, because he has always been a quarterback Steelers young wide receiver. Since 2004 is part of the evolution, the Roethlisberger rushed to the scene, winning 14 consecutive start as a rookie, super bowl in the next season.
"For me it is about the brain," Roethlisberger says he has changed. This is the first read. "Early If not, find the second you read it, and then began to occur, running here and there, no matter what it is. Now I want to know more of the offense and defense, what to play against the defense and to look at your third and fourth. "Roethlisberger wish I could read to January playoffs sat in the past two seasons." We all know what happened last year. To me it is about moving on and put it in the past, said it was a New Year," said Roethlisberger." This is a kind of mentality quarterback. When you have a bad game, a bad, bad to intercept, you must move on, to put it behind you. This is my state of mind. It's a new season, we are a new team."

CAM Heywood split the responsibility

Mike Mitchell and the longest Will Allen with bad Angle in Steelers 20-16 loss to the Giant in metropolitan stadium on Saturday night. And coach mike tomlin pointed out that the secondary let Giant run guard Rashad Jennings, what should be a good harvest jammed into a 73 yard touchdown. However, Cameron Heywood pile due to its own fault caused by the big play Steelers defense last season.
Heyward do not maintain his gap, Jennings, through a huge hole after the guards, broke into the open areas and no more than cornerbacks Cortez Allen and William gay end area.  “I’m fully responsible,” Heyward told Steelers TV after the preseason opener. “I didn’t get it done.” Tomlin didn’t quite see it the same way as the Steelers’ defensive end. “We’ve got to get it on the ground in the secondary. They’ve got to be 8, 10, 12-yard runs, not 78-yard runs,” the eighth-year coach said. "This is clearly a gap - integrity is the core problem, but I'm more concerned about is that when these things happen, we try to reduce explosion."
Heyward, however, refused to give himself even the slightest pass for Jennings’ touchdown.  Or dismiss it as knocking off the rust in a meaningless game.  “We can’t say it’s only preseason,” said Heyward, one of the Steelers’ defensive leaders. "We’re treating every game like we want to win. I put a lot of pressure on myself, and I messed up for this team. It won’t happen again.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers Dick LeBeau bullish on Shazier, Tuitt

Shazier defender in the weak side of starter in the offseason since the start of the practice, and he has all but won the starting job because of the speed the Ohio State product and Lawrence Timmons can provide in the middle of the defense. Dick LeBeau has a high opinion of Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel. The longtime Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator is similarly impressed by a couple of rookies he sees on a regular basis. LeBeau, in fact, couldn’t say enough good things on Wednesday about inside linebacker Ryan Shazier and defensive end Stephon Tuitt. LeBeau expects Shazier, a first-round pick in May, to start this season and for Tuitt, a second round selection, to play a lot. “I don’t want to overload their plate but I would say they’re ahead of schedule,” LeBeau said. “They’ve been very much a pleasure for the whole coaching staff mostly because of the type of people they are. They’re very open to coaching. They’re hard workers and they know they’ve got a lot to learn and that’s not always the case.” LeBeau is enamored with the physical ability of both players as he tries return the Steelers’ defense to the NFL’s top tier after it finished 13th in total defense last season. Shazier, the 15th overall pick of he 2014 draft, runs like a defensive back. His athleticism also translates well to an NFL game is that is becoming more wide open. The 6-foot-5, 303-pound Tuitt has a unique blend of size and athleticism, and it is probably only a matter of time before he supplants Cam Thomas at left defensive end. “Even though I knew he could run, when I see him in person I am surprised by his endurance and his speed and quickness,” LeBeau said of Tuitt. “I don’t know if I’ve seen a guy that big move like that. Now does that mean he’s going to be a great player? No, it doesn’t. There’s a lot of other things that come in there. But he seems willing to try to acquire that knowledge and those skills.” Shazier and Tuitt will play in their first preseason game on Saturday night when the Steelers visit the New York Giants. To say LeBeau is excited to see how each player fares in the 7:30 ET game is an understatement. “I think those two guys are going to give us a lot of speed at a position that doesn’t necessarily feature speed. We’re going to be fast at inside ‘backer.” As LeBeau said, hese young guys I don’t want to overload the expectations but at this stage they’re doing a good job, I’m glad we’re going to start playing some games, It would be easier to make the evaluation process, may identify some of the areas we need to focus on.

The Roger Goodell's letter to Ray Rice

Ray Rice is a professional USA football running back for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. He played college football for Rutgers University, and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell officially announced a two-game suspension for Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice. Rice’s suspension will begin on August 30. He will be eligible for reinstatement on Monday, September 12, following the Ravens’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rice may participate in all aspects of training camp and preseason games. Rice may appeal this decision within three days. In a letter to Rice, Goodell stated: “As you acknowledged during our meeting, your conduct was unquestionably inconsistent with league polices and the standard of behavior required of everyone who is part of the NFL. The league is an entity that depends on integrity and in the confidence of the public and we simply cannot tolerate conduct that endangers others or reflects negatively on our game. This is particularly true with respect to domestic violence and other forms of violence against women. “You will be expected to continue to take advantage of the counseling and other professional services you identified during our meeting. As you noted, this additional assistance has been of significant benefit to you and your wife, and it should remain a part of your practice as appropriate. “I believe that you are sincere in your desire to learn from this matter and move forward toward a healthy relationship and successful career. I am now focused on your actions and expect you to demonstrate by those actions that you are prepared to fulfill those expectations,”the end.

Steelers Defeat Lions

Pittsburgh Steelers Backed up and fed up, Ben Roethlisberger provided a vivid reminder to his critics and the Detroit Lions of just how dangerous he and his suddenly surging team remain. Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback passed for 367 yards and four touchdowns, Pittsburgh Steelers including two in the final 5 minutes as the Steelers rallied to beat the Lions 37-27. Pittsburgh Steelers The victory capped a contentious week in which Roethlisberger refuted speculation he may seek a trade in the offseason and rumors the franchise would like him to take a more "cerebral" approach to the game. Pittsburgh Steelers He responded by calling most of the plays against an aggressive but immature defense as Pittsburgh put together its most productive offensive day in more than two years. Pittsburgh Steelers "It feels awesome to win it the way we did," Roethlisberger said mounting the 31st comeback victory of his 10-year career. Roethlisberger led the Steelers 97 yards for the go-ahead touchdown after the Lions botched a fake field-goal attempt early in the fourth quarter, hitting Will Johnson for a 1-yard touchdown to put Pittsburgh up 30-27 with 4:46 remaining. Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh safety Will Allen picked off Matthew Stafford on Detroit's next possession and returned it to the Lions 30. Five plays later Roethlisberger lobbed a 20-yard strike to Jerricho Cotchery to extend the cushion to 10 points as the Steelers (4-6) won their second straight to keep the Lions (6-4) winless in Pittsburgh for 58 years and counting. Pittsburgh Steelers Antonio Brown caught seven passes for 147 yards and two scores and Pittsburgh's defense rebounded from a horrific second quarter to hold high-powered Detroit in check during the second half. Stafford threw for 362 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, surpassing Bobby Layne's team record for career passing yards in the process. Calvin Johnson hauled in six passes for 179 yards and both scores, but Detroit's two stars disappeared over the final 30 minutes. The Steelers limited Stafford to just 3 of 16 passing after halftime, while Johnson was shut out. "We knew they'd make plays and get yards," Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark said. "We just wanted to make plays and stop them when it counted and we were able to do that." Still, the Lions entered the fourth quarter with the lead thanks to a 27-point deluge in the second quarter. Detroit had a chance to push the advantage to a touchdown. But rather than have David Akers attempt a short field goal, the Lions opted to run a fake. Holder Sam Martin, however, fumbled while fighting for the necessary 5 yards and the Steelers recovered. "I got hit by a 350-pound man," Martin said. "I don't think I had the first down, but regardless, that guy made a great play." The Lions appeared to take control of the NFC North with a win on the road at Chicago last week but let the momentum vanish during a meek second half in which they appeared rattled by soggy conditions at Heinz Field and their own mind-boggling success during the highest-scoring second quarter in franchise history. "We just didn't execute," Stafford said. "That's what it boils down to." Detroit's collapse was hard to imagine following a dazzling 15 minutes in which Johnson and Stafford did whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor said last week he couldn't wait for the chance to go "mano-a-mano" with the NFL's best receiver. Like nearly every player who has lined up across the line of scrimmage from Johnson over last three years, the matchup looked like a mismatch. At least, for a while. Detroit spotted the Steelers an early 14-0 lead and just 6:37 to set a franchise record for points in a quarter. Johnson, as he tends to be, was right in the middle of it. He started the onslaught with an impossibly easy 79-yard touchdown, taking a heave from Stafford at the Pittsburgh 40 and then practically jogging into the end zone to make it 14-10. Pittsburgh Steelers Johnson was at it again the next time the Lions had the ball, beating the coverage to the inside for a 19-yard score to tie the game at 17. Pittsburgh Steelers Taylor became so frustrated that at one point he was flagged for holding and pass interference on Johnson on consecutive plays late in the first half, though the penalties served their purpose. Pittsburgh Steelers Rather than get a last-second touchdown to go up by 10 at the break, the Lions were forced to kick a field goal and settle for a 27-20 lead. Just as abruptly as the eruption began, Pittsburgh Steelers it stopped. Detroit did little in the second half while the Steelers stoked for another week at least whatever flickering hopes they have of getting back to . Pittsburgh Steelers 500 and perhaps beyond. "We've got to keep this thing going," Cotchery said. "Our margin for error is nonexistent right now. We feel good about this team and we're going to keep grinding." Game Notes: Pittsburgh Steelers Stafford now has 16,005 career passing yards to blow past Layne's club record of 15,710. Pittsburgh Steelers Stafford's first touchdown pass to Johnson was the 100th of his career. Pittsburgh Steelers He reached the plateau in his 55th career game, the fourth-fastest in NFL history. Pittsburgh Steelers Johnson has gone over 1,000 yards in four straight seasons, Pittsburgh Steelers tying Herman Moore's club record. Cotchery has a career-high seven touchdowns, Pittsburgh Steelers.

Running back

Pittsburgh Steelers This is the next in a series that looks at every Pittsburgh Steelers position on offense and defense with training camp approaching. Pittsburgh Steelers Our second look is at running back. Pittsburgh Steelers Returning starter, Le'Veon Bell. The former Michigan State standout established himself as the Steelers' feature back last season despite missing the first three games of his rookie season with a mid-foot sprain. Pittsburgh Steelers Bell's all-around skills translated into the 2013 second-round pick gaining 1,259 rushing and receiving yards combined. Pittsburgh Steelers That broke the team record for yards from scrimmage by a rookie previously held by Franco Harris. Even with the upgrades the Steelers have made at the position, Pittsburgh Steelers Bell is still clearly their No. 1 back. Pittsburgh Steelers New faces: LeGarrette Blount and Dri Archer. Blount signed a two-year, $3.85 million contract in March after emerging as the New England Patriots' best running back in the latter part of last season. The 6-feet, 250-pounder provides more thump to the backfield, while Archer, a third-round pick, adds sheer speed. The 5-8, 173-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.26 seconds at the NFL scouting combine in February, posting the fastest time in that test. On the bubble: Alvester Alexander. The former undrafted free agent spent all of last season on the Steelers' practice squad. That may give the 5-11, 213-pounder an advantage over the handful of players who will compete for a roster spot assuming the Steelers keep four running backs. They could go with just Bell, Blount and Archer and stash a running back on the practice squad. By the numbers: Only four NFL teams averaged less rushing yards per game than the 86.4 that the Steelers mustered last season. They also ranked near the bottom of the league in yards per carry as the Steelers gained 3.5 yards per tote in 2013. Only two teams averaged less than that per rushing attempt. Did you know: Only two players have rushed for at least 1,000 yards since Mike Tomlin took over as head coach in 2007. Willie Parker rushed for 1,316 yards in Tomlin's first season while Rashard Mendenhall rushed for 1,108 yards in 2009 and 1,273 in 2010. Quotable: “He felt disrespected by that as he should. Like I told him we just have to go out there and prove it and show people what we're ready to do and get the running game back to how it should be.” Bell on Blount taking issue with the Steelers' not being included on an NFL Pittsburgh Steelers list of the league's top 10 backfields. Outlook: It will be interesting to see how the division of labor shakes out with the Steelers trying to feature Bell in the offense while also finding touches for Blount and Archer. Two of the three could play together in different packages given their respective skill sets. Pittsburgh Steelers And the trio provides offensive coordinator Todd Haley with an opportunity to get creative with his running backs. Pittsburgh Steelers What is certain is the Steelers are much better equipped to deal with an injury to Bell this season and that they've significantly improved their overall talent at running back, Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh steelers Haley

Pittsburgh Steelers As excited as the Steelers’ offensive linemen are by the addition of Mike Munchak, Pittsburgh Steelers their enthusiasm may be trumped by someone else at team headquarters. Pittsburgh Steelers “Really nobody was happier when Coach (Mike) Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers Kevin Colbert and Mr. Rooney were able to pull off getting him to come on board," Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley said of the Steelers' new offensive line coach. Pittsburgh Steelers "He’s a great teacher. He’s great at what he does, the best in the league in my opinion. He seamlessly transitioned into our staff. He's a stud.” Haley and Munchak join Dick LeBeau as three former NFL head coaches on Tomlin’s staff, giving it some heft. And Haley has good reason to be thrilled that Munchak will mentor and mold the Steelers’ offensive line this season. The line came together at the end of last season and is still young with left guard Ramon Foster, who is only 28, the oldest projected starter up front. Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey returns after missing most of last season with a torn ACL, and the line will be counted on to keep quarterback Ben Roethlisberger upright and open holes for running backs Le'Veon Bell, LeGarrette Blount and Dri Archer. Stellar offensive line play has often eluded the Steelers during Tomlin’s tenure, and some of that can be blamed on injuries. But with Munchak, a Pro Football Hall of Fame guard, pulling everything together the Steelers’ line could be poised to lead the way for an offense that averaged just under 28 points in its final eight games in 2013. Pittsburgh Steelers “Not all great players are great coaches. Pittsburgh Steelers But he’s definitely one of those great players that transitioned into being a great coach,” Haley said. Pittsburgh Steelers “The head coaching experience is a benefit because he doesn’t just see it from his position group or his perspective. Pittsburgh Steelers He sees the big picture, which I take pride in doing, having been there. Pittsburgh Steelers He is a very good teacher that believes in hard work, like we all do. Pittsburgh Steelers Great players want to be coached. They want to be pushed to see how good they can be, Pittsburgh Steelers and these guys are eating it up,” Pittsburgh Steelers.

Johnny not on Pittsburgh Steelers' radar

pittsburgh steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers As polarizing a figure as Johnny Manziel is, he can probably get Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers fans to agree on one thing. Pittsburgh Steelers The majority of fans on both sides would love to see him start Sept. Pittsburgh Steelers 7 when the Browns visit Heinz Field for the regular-season opener between the bitter rivals. The Steelers season-ticket holders would pay double to see the quarterback who reached celebrity status before throwing his first NFL pass receive a baptism/comeuppance from Dick LeBeau’s defense. Browns fans might be just as eager to see Manziel in Pittsburgh, though obviously for a different reason. The Browns have gone through quarterbacks at an alarming rate since the NFL returned to Cleveland in 1999. They desperately need someone to stop the cycle, and Browns fans might want to see if Manziel can conjure up the magic that made him a legend at Texas A&M right from the start even if the circumstances for his NFL debut in Pittsburgh could be a recipe for disaster. Manziel, speaking to Browns reporters at the NFL Rookie Symposium, said his goal is to start this season. But the former Heisman Trophy winner conceded that he is still well behind Brian Hoyer, who will enter training camp as the No. 1 quarterback. I asked a handful of Steelers defensive starters before the end of offseason practices whether they would like to see Manziel under center for the season opener, and I didn’t get much more than a collective shrug of the shoulders. Pittsburgh Steelers “It don’t matter,” veteran cornerback Ike Taylor said. Pittsburgh Steelers “We’re trying to win ballgames. It doesn’t matter who is at quarterback.” Mike Mitchell agreed. “To be honest I just want someone that’s going to throw me a pick,” Pittsburgh Steelers the Steelers free safety said. “I don’t really care who it is. Pittsburgh Steelers I want the quarterback that’s the most confident, the most prepared, so when I take it from him, no excuses. That’s what I want every week.” Pittsburgh Steelers Defensive end Cameron Heyward played his college ball at Ohio State, so he can understand, Pittsburgh Steelers even if only to some degree, the scrutiny Manziel is already under in the Buckeye state. “It’s tough. Everybody’s looking for him to mess up,” Pittsburgh Steelers Heyward said. “He’s a great player. I wish him the best.” Pittsburgh Steelers So, would Heyward like to get the first crack at Johnny Football, so to speak? Pittsburgh Steelers “Whoever’s in there I’m going to have fun either way,” Heyward said with a smile, Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers won against the Browns

Begin the Pittsburgh Steelers won against the Cleveland Browns in the last game of the regular season. Pittsburgh Steelers The final score was 24-10 and it was played at Heinz Field. Pittsburgh Steelers The Steelers are already out of the playoffs but this game left them with a record of 8-8. Pittsburgh Steelers The Steelers had a pretty good game. Ben Roethlisberger threw three touchdown passes. And the team managed to stay ahead throughout the whole game and come out with a win. During this game wide receiver, Mike Wallace, cornerback, Curtis Brown and tackle, Mike Adams were all out due to injuries. And then during the game, defensive end, Brett Keisel sprained his MCL but will not need to have surgery. There were actually a lot of other injuries during this game, Pittsburgh Steelers for example rookie tackle, Kelvin Beachum suffered from a concussion and defensive end, Cameron Heyward fractured his rib. Also, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark was hospitalized for a contusion to his left quad. This was the last game of the season for the Steelers, Pittsburgh Steelers so we will have to wait and see what is to come next season. The Steelers will have the 17th pick in the first round of the draft in April. Pittsburgh Steelers This is actually the highest that the team had drafted since 2007 when they had the 15th pick, Pittsburgh Steelers.

Plaxico Burress signs with Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers January 23, 2005 was the last time that Plaxico Burress suited up for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh Steelers It was a 27-41 loss in the AFC Conference Championship game against the New England Patriots, and Burress had three receptions for 37 yards and one touchdown. Pittsburgh Steelers Following that game Burress eventually signed with the New York Giants, wound up in jail for two years, and played all of 2011 as a member of the New York Jets. Since his contract with the Jets expired, several teams looked at him, including the Patriots, but no one was willing to take a chance on him until now. After losing to the Ravens on Sunday night with Antonio Brown missing his second straight game, and possibly losing Jerricho Cotchery to an ankle injury, the Steelers remaining receivers consisted of a bunch of unknowns, which is not a good problem to have when Charlie Batch is expected to start on Sunday against the Browns. With all that being said, the Steelers brought in Plaxico Burress for a workout, and impressed Mike Tomlin enough to earn a contract for the remainder of the season. Burress will likely be given an abbreviated playbook with limited routes, but he will be expected to make an impact on Sunday when the Steelers travel to Cleveland. Let’s hope that Burress still has some gas left in the tank to last until Antonio Brown returns to the field, Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pittsburgh Steelers Plaxico Burress  is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Steelers eighth overall in the 2000 NFL Draft and later played for the New York Giants and the New York Jets  before returning to the Steelers on November 21, 2012. He played college football at Michigan State, Pittsburgh Steelers.
